When planning a wedding, you need inspiration in abundance (have a look at our marquees for some now!). Where that inspiration comes from can understandably vary. Sometimes it can come from long-time friends who have been brides in the past; sometimes it can come from trusty bride magazines that have been around for decades; it can perhaps even come from a certain combination of colours you see on a tree. These are all good sources of inspiration, there is one rich source, however, that is often overlooked: Instagram.
Instagram is the go-to spot for many things now. Some use it for cooking inspiration and others for gym motivation. But did you know there’s a multitude of wedding accounts just waiting to inspire you? Here are our favourites.
A practical wedding are great because they adopt a very informal approach to their online presence. As we’re sure you know, wedding magazines are often solemn and nothing else. Whilst this is helpful, it can be intimidating at times. As such, it’s nice to have a source of inspiration that at the core just wants you to have a fun-filled day – like those had in our Devon marquees. Certainly an account we recommend following.

Even if you’ve decided what arrangements you’re going to be using, this account is a great follow simply for the aesthetic. The curator poetically showcases a diverse arrangement of flowers – all would look beautiful decorated around our Devon marquees.
For those who want an alternative wedding, this follow is a no-brainer. The feed, adorned with countless examples of those who went against the grain, will no doubt fill your mind with inspiration. From abandoned barns to wheelbarrows full of beer, the Instagram is a mood you may not have realised you wanted until you hit that follow button.
This account is a nice follow simply for building excitement. As Christie is a photographer rather than a themed account, the feed is purely pictures of weddings. Which is lovely.
As we said, Instagram can be a great source of inspiration – check ours out! Not after inspiration? Well, then it can be a great source of excitement. We’d love to see any one of these themes in our marvellous wedding marquees. If you’d like to know more about our wedding marquees, give us a call; we’re always happy to talk.
We hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and well. We know that the last 12 months has been tough. The impact of Covid-19 has been huge on individuals, families and businesses.
